M.S. Corely Book Covers

I was browsing through the internet today in search of some inspiration and I stumbled upon this collection of redesigned book covers by M.S. Corely. All the redesigns are fairly minimal compositions utilizing only a couple of colors, and the images are rendered very generally overall. This is just utterly beautiful. I will definitely be bookmarking this for inspiration.

Light Painting

I remember when i took an introductory black and white photography course I had to do an assignment with light painting. My photograph looked something close to being underwater and by no means anyhing worth showing. I stumbled upon this website today and I found it amazing and thought I'd share.

Cartoon Network Rebranding

It looks like the guys at KidRobot have been busy doing the rebranding of Cartoon Network alongside Capacity, a motion graphics design studio. I was shown this yesterday and I think it's a great step both for Kid Robot and the popular culture. You may know Kid Robot from their extremely popular Munny dolls, which you can find in trendy places such as urban Outfitters.

If you think you don't know Capacity let me share a couple of their projects:
-Rebranding of NBC
-Sci-Fi channel
-G4
-NFL network

Anyways, this video makes me want to start watching Cartoon Network commericals.

props.

Bury Your Dead show poster

Client: Third String Productions
This flier was insanely fun to make! I probably clocked in around 20 hours at minimum for this one. The main graphic elements in this poster are completely hand drawn, including the blood, band names, and the zombie. This is one of the most enjoyable commissions I've done to date. Hopefully more will follow.

I will begin working on the identity and myspace design of a friend's music project within the next few days so more stuff up soon!

I have recently finished this shirt design for the band Don't Wake Aislin. The challenge was to create an intricate design with 19th century influences using only one color. I collaged several illustrations and schematics of old steam machinery as well as clocks and power lines and then traced them on Illustrator. The design will be either printed using gold sparkle ink or with a gold foil transfer on a red v-neck shirt.

Microsoft's Vision of the Future

I found this video extremely interesting. This would definitely be a complete change in the way we live if this was reality.

U2's No Line On The Horizon Album Cover

I forgot to mention that I stumbled upon this at CD warehouse today. I was really surprised that it was U2's album cover. I feel like it's been done before or at least a strikingly similar ideas at least. Nonetheless the design is genius.

Updates...still to come

So it's been a couple of days, maybe a week. I don't keep track of time, that's why I have a planner and a phone. I plan my days according to important deadlines, the site design is definitely not a priority.

I've been pretty busy lately. Typography work mainly.

I just finished a shirt design for the band Don't Wake Aislin, I have to finish up another one soon since they will be going on tour I believe within the next few weeks (slowly moving up tp my pririties list). The screen printing business is picking up slowly but surely. Maybe I'll post some pictures of us in action soon.

I'll probably have to redesign this client's shirt design within the next few days. 5 colors because of different shades of grey? Big no no. Plus: Impact + Times New Roman + Futura all on the same shirt...?

I discovered this from Japan named Paniyolo recently, very relaxing music if I do say so myself.
